Call for Participation
IEEE P2030.4™ Working Group

The IEEE CA4EPI Working Group (WG) announces a call for participation to develop amendment IEEE P2030.4™ - Guide for Control and Automation Installations Applied to the Electric Power Infrastructure.

Recently approved by IEEE for drafting, when completed, the IEEE P2030.4 standard will be a guide to users of IEEE 2030®-2011, Guide for Smart Grid Interoperability of Energy Technology and Information Technology Operation with the Electric Power System (EPS), and End-Use Applications, and Loads. This standard amendment will provide the guidance to applying the Smart Grid Interoperability Reference Model (SGIRM) of IEEE 2030 in the development of control and automation components. It will also outline approaches to defining the requirements for control and automation applications within the electric power infrastructure, and describe their design, while adhering to a common open architecture.

The IEEE P2030.4 WG is seeking participants from industries related to the electric power infrastructure (installing and managing), national defense, manufacturing, telecommunications, transportation, and other critical infrastructures.

If you would like to join the working group, or have questions related to IEEE P2030.4, we ask that you please contact Dave Cartes, the Working Group Chair.
