12 Days Until ........ World Maker Faire New York!

Boy, have we got a line-up for you! We just announced the interviews, panels, speakers, how-to workshops, and more that will be headlining at World Maker Faire New York 2013. We'll be delivering the thought leaders and rising innovators that will help you learn more about how to be a maker, the purpose of making, all of the many things you can make (including a new and improved you!), the future of making, and more.  Here are all the details:

We'll have seven stages this year that will host a huge variety of talks. Debuting this year is the Make: 3D Printing Stage to give you 3D printing enthusiasts all you need to know about the latest and greatest in digital fabrication, materials, and making.

The program covers emerging technologies, how to roast your own coffee, the latest in 3D printing and Arduino, puppet-making the open source way, medical advancements thanks to making, embracing and building on kids' desire to make, and everything in between. There's definitely something for everyone!

Bre Pettis, MakerBot CEO—The MakerBot Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner:  World Maker Faire is the US debut of the MakerBot Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner. Whether you're an expert in 3D modeling or just getting started, attendees can learn from Bre how the MakerBot Digitizer helps create clean, 3D-printable designs much faster than doing it by hand.

Ayah Bdeir, founder and CEO of littleBits—Children Are Teaching Adults to Make Again:  Making is becoming a mainstream and maker spaces are popping up in places like schools and libraries. As a result, kids are getting their hands dirty and creating. Ayah will share her lessons learned and help adults build on this growing trend of kids getting back to making.

Chip Wade, HGTV host of "Elbow Room"—The 'At-Home' Maker: How to Build Innovation into Your Everyday Life: <link session title to > Chip will share with Faire goers the lessons he's learned for building efficiency into the home via innovative thinking, processes, and projects.

Jose Gomez-Marquez, MIT's Little Devices Lab—Medical Making for Health–Around the World and at Home in America: Attendees will learn more from Jose about how "little devices" are saving lives around the world and here in America, and how the lab get started.

Massimo Banzi, co-founder of the Arduino project—The State of Arduino: Massimo will give audiences an update on all that's happening in the world of Arduino.

 "Science Bob" Pflugfelder, resident scientist on "Jimmy Kimmel Live"—When Science Goes Boom:  "Science Bob" will be live and in-person at World Maker Faire enlightening children of all ages with several experiments, gadgets, and contraptions featured in his upcoming Nick & Tesla book series.
