Embrace free literature and live music at JLF Colorado - an international edition of the Jaipur Literature Festival, September 22-23 at Boulder Main Library. Sign up to volunteer or simply attend! Tuesday, September 22 | Indrajit Banerjee & Bijay Shrestha: Experience the rich sounds of Indian classical music with acclaimed sitarist Indrajit Banerjee and Colorado-based tabla and sitar artist Bijay Shrestha. Banerjee is an A-Grade Artist of All India Radio trained in the Maihar Gharana tradition, while Shrestha is one of the few Nepali musicians to perform professionally on both tabla and sitar. Together, they’ll take audiences from the meditative beauty of the sitar to an exhilarating rhythmic interplay between sitar and tabla.   Wednesday, September 23 | Kahat Kabir: Centuries-old poetry comes alive through music with Kahat Kabir, a collective of young independent artists from across India. The ensemble brings the poetry of Kabir and other poets from India’s Nirgun and folk traditions into the present through vocals, sarod, tabla and keyboard, blending Indian classical music, folk influences and contemporary arrangements. ***Learn more and register  Thank you for making each collaboration at Boulder Public Library unique and impactful.
