9+ Month Contract
Electrical Engineer involved in the design, implementation, verification
and integration of a wide variety of high-performance FPGAs applied to
signal processing products. The engineer is a member of an experienced
design group developing signal processing based ELINT/SIGINT products.

- Requirements capture, FPGA architecture and design, requirements based
verification, and system integration !

Job Description: An experienced Design Engineer whose responsibilities will
be the design and implementation of communication, signal processing, and
cryptographic functions for a wide variety of projects using several
Skills. The responsibilities will also include testbench development for
the verification of these functions. Programming experience with VHDL,
familiarity with FPGA tools and working knowledge of simulation tools such
are required. Familiarity with the system simulation tools is desirable as
well as some background in communications and signal processing.

Additional Job Information: REQUIRED
- RTL coding and simulation in VHDL or Verilog
- Digital circuit architecture, design, resource tradeoffs and
implementation
- Testbench development for the verification of RTL blocks
- Experience using FPGA CAD tools (e.g. Modelsim or FPGA-specific tools)
- Familiarity with revision control concepts and tools (e.g. Clearcase,
Subversion)
- Ability to work as part of an engineering team with a variety of skills
and backgrounds, matrixed into projects with aggressive schedules and
frequent milestones
- Strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to document
and present one's work and status
-Bachelor's Degree in applicable engineering or science field
-3-5 years experience in FPGA design
Desired skills:
- Some background in signal processing
- Familiarity with the signal processing system simulation & analysis tools
(e.g. Matlab, Simulink)
- Familiarity with Xilinx toolset (ISE)
