Cold weather water freeze protection

Think you already know all this, but I liked this summary.

• Keep cabinet doors open leading to exposed pipes (such as access doors for sinks), so that household air can warm them.
• If you have an attached garage, keep the doors shut. Occasionally, plumbing is routed through this unheated space, leaving it vulnerable to winter's worst.
• Keep your thermostat set above 65 degrees when leaving your house or business for several days.

Those 3 steps are all of the steps I think we need to follow.  We never do the dripping faucet thing here, and it's always been fine.  Here's the full article if you're still curious:

Documentation to qualify for a special enrollment period for health insurance: How to Write a Termination of Benefits Letter, thanks to BusinessWire

What is "Proof of Loss of Coverage? (to qualify for Special Enrollment period for health insurance)", thanks to Take Command Help Center

I'm guessing "letter from employer" includes a letter to the above effect, signed by your supervisor, as long as it's on letterhead. We can't be the first people to want this. Also, maybe the second letter (COBRA) would be issued automatically, although maybe not in time (the proof of eligibility for special enrollment must be supplied within 30 days of a demand letter that may arrive after I apply for insurance, or can instead submit a letter explaining why I can't get such proof in time).
